It was also announced that Herb Naumann will be competing in the FV series during the 2017 season.
We wish them both well.
Ed described how SEMA (Specialty Equipment Market Association) https://www.sema.org/ can provide you with industry updates as well as current legislation which impacts our hobby.
A good example is the NYS Assembly Bill A2791, which would eliminate the requirement of 2 license plates within NYS. You can follow this link to Support the passage of this Bill: https://www.nysenate.gov/legislation/bills/2017/A2791

We also cannot forget the fantastic support from SPS, Grassroots Motorsports (Subscribe for some great discounts and benefits), Pole Position, Hoosiers as well as Bell Helmets for their donations. Make sure to show your Support back to our generous club supporters.

The Summer Picnic and Car show’s location is still planned for the Onondaga Yacht Club, but other locations will be investigated in case of issues in securing the location.

The RallyCross group are selling and raising money through targeted sales of items for club related use. Please remember that all sales revenue must go through Jay Cartini. This will assure that the Club does not accidentally violate our 501C “Not for Profit” status.

Old Business
R.E. Leubner noted he submitted paperwork to National to update the CNY Charter.

New Business
The Bylaws are being looked at for updates and language to assure that we are meeting our obligations under of club charter. We would like to revive the Snarling Exhaust as a Quarterly E-publication. In order to accomplish this we need your Articles. We will not be hosting a booth this year at the Car Show or supporting a Booth at the Dirt Show or the Motorama. As a club we attract more attention from attending Street Scene, and Car’s and Coffee type events where we promote CNY’s events. These are especially effective when a Solo/Rally event is held the following weekend.
It would make sense to build relationships with other Club’s where can promote our love of cars to a larger audience with a great ease of access.

Chris Whaley will speak with the Mustang Club and explore CNY’s ability to have a presence at their Saturday Wegman’s gathering. Where we can bring the Solo Trailer… rolling billboard. As well as some of the Solo/Rally Cars to use as devices that can entice new members interested in joining.

The winner of the 50/50 raffle was Rex Franklin. Rex took home the princely sum of $11.

At 8:10PM a motion was made by Rex Franklin to adjourn the meeting. The motion was seconded by Mike Donofrio and passed unanimously.

Our next regular meeting will be held Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at the American Legion in Liverpool at 7:00PM.

Respectfully submitted by Chris Whaley
