The rallycross scheduled for this Sunday (December 11th) has been moved from it's original location (Cherry Valley) to The Walczyks Farm.

The 2011 schedule is now complete, and has some great news:

We're back at the NYS Fairgrounds

Thanks to our solo chair, Mark Bizzozero, we've been able to confirm two dates at the NYS Fairgrounds for this year. While our rental fee has increased from years past, necessitating a slight increase in our solo fees, it's a great site and seems to be on solid footing now for years to come.

This year's schedule now contains a full 9 events, one of the largest of recent years. It also contains three different venues and two very unique events: a night event and an enduro event.

Given the staggered nature of how this year's schedule was released, please be sure to share these updates with your friends so that everyone gets the full schedule

New event added: May 1st at Cherry Valley

Please note there's been a correction to our schedule: We are not at Cherry Valley on Friday 9/30, but instead on 10/9.

... well at least part of it is released. We're still waiting on confirmation on a few dates (you veterans of our schedule may notice what venue is the holdout). In the mean time we've released as much of the schedule that IS confirmed.

Be sure to check in later to see if additional events have been added. We do hope to have an event added for mid to late April, as well as another event likely in mid-May.

Currently the CNY SCCA region is not in a desperate need of locations to run events. However, it's better to start looking BEFORE we're in a desperate situation, and possibly not having events because we have nowhere to run them. Additional sites also give us many more options for scheduling, possibly leading to both a more favorable schedule and more events in general.

Contrary to popular belief, most new solo sites actually come from suggestions of the general membership. YOU are our "eyes and ears" and often can spot new sites long before anyone "in charge" may magically stumble upon them. As such, this thread is intended to help promote and coordinate these efforts. Please utilize this resource to share ideas you may have, and help us work through exploring new locations.

The second rallyx event of the year has been rescheduled for the preceeding night. It is now scheduled to take place on February 26th, with registration opening at 7pm. The first run should be around 8:30, with the event wrapping up at midnight.

It's location has also been changed, with the event being moved to the Walczyk's Farm (as was event #1).
